WHAT IS ENCOUNTER MESSIAH: EMMAUS ROAD?

Encounter Messiah is a FREE immersive Walk-Through Event on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday (April 17-18). We transform the Reveal Fellowship building into a series of scenes, spread throughout the entire facility, with a creative and artistic presentation of the Gospel. We did it every year for 7 years, but had to move it outside for Covid in 2020. We did it outside for a couple years, and then took a break for a couple years. This year we are bringing it back inside. It requires an army of artists, actors, carpenters, servants and prayer warriors. Please consider how you can help. ENCOUNTER MESSIAH - IMPORTANT INFO

Please bring a smart phone AND ear buds or headphones. There is an audio that accompanies each scene and it is needed to fully understand what is happening. It takes 45-60 minutes to walk through the event (there are places to sit along the way) and an opportunity for people to pray and reflect at the end.

FAQ’s

1. Is it appropriate for kids? Yes, kids are welcome to come and enjoy it. We will have child care for children ages 1-5, as it may be a bit hard for them to grasp and enjoy it. Everyone, including kids will need a web-enabled device (smart phone, iPad, or tablet) and headphones in order to listen to the audio. We have some available if you don’t have one.

2. What if I don’t have a Smart phone or headphones? We will have a device you can borrow. We will also have ear buds you can use (and adapters you can borrow if needed). You will enjoy it most with a device and headphones you are comfortable with. If you use hearing aids and already have it connected to your phone, that will work fine as long as you can visit a website.

3. How long is the event? It takes approximately 45-60 minutes to walk through the event. There is time and space at the end to reflect upon the experience.

4. Is it only on Good Friday? The event begins on Friday, April 18. You can arrive anytime between 5:00pm and 9:00 pm (last entry is at 9pm). We are doing a “soft opening” on Thursday, from 7:00pm-8:30pm for those that can’t come on Friday (but last entrance on Thursday is at 8:30pm).
