Shelter From The Storm

The feelings that come from sexual abuse can be devastating. Victims feel a sense of loss, hurt, guilt, shame, confusion, and fear. People who have been victimized by this trauma wonder if they will ever be free from the haunting memories of their past. They also wonder whether or not they will ever feel physically, spiritually, and emotionally whole again.
The "Shelter group" is not a class but a fellowship of people who all are united in seeking answers to the deep and disturbing questions that sexual abuse raises for the victims of this tragic and traumatic experience. If you have suffered from sexual abuse then please join one of our groups so you can be part of the "fellowship of healing" that is offered through the Shelter ministry.

Our ministry called "Shelter from the Storm" is based on a book called Shelter From the Storm: Hope for Survivors of Sexual Abuse by Cynthia Kubetin which tells the impact of sexual abuse of many survivors and their journeys to recovery from the trauma of sexual abuse. Shelter From the Storm offers hope and healing to wounded people as it examines how the gospel of Christ can bring transformation and freedom from the impact of Sexual Abuse..
